April 13th, 2020 4:02pm -Madison County NY Government Facebook Page

As part of a new executive order put out by Governor Cuomo, any employees of essential businesses shall be provided and shall wear face coverings when they are in direct contact with customers or members of the public, effective Wednesday, April 15 at 8 pm.

Here at Madison County, we have been practicing wearing face masks these past few weeks to further protect the health of our employees on top of maintaining social distancing and good personal hygiene. However, we cannot do this alone. We are asking residents to help make cloth face coverings for our essential employees who continue to serve the public during this time. If you are interested in contributing, please visit our website for CDC recommendations on best practices: https://www.madisoncounty.ny.gov/2562/CDC-Recommendation-Cloth-Face-Covering-i

If you have face masks you would like to donate, please contact the Office of Emergency Management at (315) 366-2789 or email at em@madisoncounty.ny.gov. They will coordinate a pick-up of the materials and distribute them to our employees.

We appreciate any amount of support our residents can give during this time. We are all in this together.
