Be sure to wear a cloth face covering over your nose and mouth when in public. COVID-19 can be spread to people who are nearby when a person talks, coughs, or sneezes, even if that person is NOT showing symptoms. A cloth face covering will help keep people who have the virus from spreading it, even if they do not know they are infected. The face covering also offers another layer of protection to those who are not ill, but may come into contact with someone who is.  The face covering should not be a replacement for social distancing.

1. The cloth face coverings may be made from items you have at home, such as a bandana, scarf, or an old t-shirt. The cloth face coverings recommended are NOT surgical masks or N-95 respirators. Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders.
2. Cloth face coverings should NOT be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the face covering without help.
3. Cloth face coverings should be routinely washed - in a washing machine, if possible. When removing your face covering, be careful not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth, and wash your hands immediately after removing.
