Changes effective March 12, 2020 1- the children's play area has been emptied of ALL toys!  2- There is a box of gloves on the top roll out shelf under the desk for your use.  If you would like to wear them for cleaning, your entire shift, etc. It's your choice.  You are to NOT change for every patron....getting gloves and cleaning supplies is very difficult right now. 3- ALL sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap and tissues have been inventoried in the supply closet due to MANY employers having employees taking items home.  This will be checked many times and if this comes to fruition, the employee will be fired for theft of library materials. 4- EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!  STAFF ARE NOT TO TOUCH patron cards.  Patrons are to hold the card for you to scan.  This might be a good time to request patrons have their picture taken as per our policy- it’s a picture or a card.  So for them and us, a picture would be easier.

WHAT DO WE TELL PATRONS:

-Michelle (or our Library Manager) is monitoring the situation, has ramped up our disinfection of surfaces in the library, we are washing and sanitizing our own hands regularly, as well as continuing to make hand washing and sanitizing accessible to patrons. (Watch that our public GERM-X doesn't walk off the desk please.)

-We currently do not have any plans to close or cancel library programs but that may change as the status of the situation changes.  Patrons can monitor our Facebook page for any changes in services, hours or planned programming.

-There is a letter behind the printer from me to patrons as well as an always current fact sheet for the CDC.  Patrons can take them and I will make more!
