Madison County’s two hospitals, Community Memorial Hospital and Oneida Health Hospital, began offering outpatient elective surgeries again this week. In March, New York State directed hospitals to make more hospital beds available for an expected increase in COVID-19 patients. Since we have slowed the spread of COVID-19 locally, our hospitals are now safely able to use their operating rooms and surgical staff for outpatient elective surgeries. Patients that had elective surgeries cancelled should reach out to their surgeon and/or primary care provider to reschedule.

We want to assure residents that both Community Memorial and Oneida Hospital are taking all precautions for both their patients and their employees. People should know that safety is their top priority and if you need care, please seek care.
